Core Platform Core Invoice

Core Platform module

Live

Stop typing every invoice twice, with Core Invoice.

Quote, invoice, credit and chase payment in one place, built for a South African business tired of re-keying the same sale into a second system. Unlimited invoices and unlimited users on every plan. Start free on your own numbers.

What it does

What Core Invoice does

Quote first, invoice when they say yes

Send a price before you send a bill. Quotes, invoices and credit notes sit on the same customer record, so the history of a deal is in one place instead of three folders.

Get paid on the invoice itself

Cut the wait between sending a document and seeing the money. Every invoice carries a pay-now link on Paystack, NjiaPay and PayFast, so a customer settles it from the invoice.

Bill the same customer every month without rebuilding it

Stop rewriting the same invoice on the first of the month. Recurring invoices go out on a schedule and payment reminders chase the ones that go late.

Correct a mistake without breaking the books

Fix an error in a way an auditor can follow. A credit note posts against the original document and the customer statement shows both sides.

One ledger

The invoice is the start of the books, not a PDF.

Most invoicing tools stop at the document and leave the accounting to somebody else, which is where the re-typing starts. In Core, raising an invoice is the first entry in a real set of books.

  • The sale posts to a double-entry ledger the moment you raise it, both sides, with no journal for you to remember.
  • If Core WMS is switched on, the item leaves the shelf in the same movement rather than at stocktake.
  • The payment matches against your imported bank statement in Core Accounting.
  • Every report reads the same ledger the invoice wrote to, so there’s nothing to reconcile between two systems at month-end.

Straight answer

Who Core Invoice is for

Switch it on if

  • A South African business invoicing in rand that wants the books keeping themselves underneath.
  • A team where more than one person raises invoices, because users aren’t billed per seat.
  • Anyone whose current plan starts saving invoices as drafts once they hit a monthly cap.

Leave it alone if

  • You invoice in foreign currency. Core is rand only today, so cross-border billing belongs somewhere else for now.
  • You need a live bank feed. Core matches against an imported statement (OFX, QFX or CSV) rather than a daily automatic feed.
  • You want a native mobile app. Core is web plus an installable PWA.

What it costs

Flat monthly pricing, in rand.

No per-seat charge and no invoice limit on any tier. A bundle always costs less than buying the same modules separately.

Core Invoice is included in the Core Invoice, Starter, Operations and Full suite plans.

The current price of each is in the pricing section on the Core Platform page, along with what every plan carries. If you want a straight answer on which one fits, ask us and we’ll tell you.

Moving over

Moving over from Xero

Xero’s entry tier caps you at roughly 20 invoices and quotes a month, and past that new documents save as drafts until you upgrade. Core has no invoice cap on any plan. Export your Xero contacts, invoices, credits and payments as CSV and import them into Core, where everything historical is flagged so it can’t double-count against your opening figures. Run the two side by side for a month if you would rather not cut over in one go.

Questions

Common questions

No. Every plan has unlimited invoices and unlimited quotes, and users aren’t billed per seat either. The cap that usually bites on a cheap entry tier elsewhere doesn’t exist here.

Every invoice carries a pay-now link on Paystack, NjiaPay and PayFast. You then reconcile the payment against your imported bank statement, because Core does statement import rather than a live bank feed in this release.

No. Core Invoice runs on its own, and the ledger underneath it’s already writing. The day you switch on Core Accounting the books are up to date rather than empty.

Yes. Core imports CSV exports from Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage: contacts, invoices, credit notes and payments. Imported documents are flagged as historical so they don’t double-count your opening balances.
