Terms, in plain words.

A project is quoted as one number for a written scope. It changes only if the scope does, and only after you say yes. Core products are priced per business, not per seat: the same price for one person or fifty. We tell you 30 days before any price changes, and you can leave before it does.

Everything we make for you is yours the day it’s paid for: design files, source code, the domain, the hosting account. We keep no hooks. If you want to take it to someone else, we’ll help you hand it over.

• Your data in Core is yours. We process it; we don’t own it.
• Our products (Core Platform, Core PDF, EleganceUI) stay ours. You get a licence to use them.

To do the work well, on the dates we agreed, and to tell you early if either is at risk. To keep Core running (99.9% a month is the target; we publish the actual number). To answer within a working day. To fix our mistakes at our cost.

That a website will get you customers, that a store will sell, or that software will suit a process we weren’t told about. We build what was scoped. We’re not liable for lost profits, and our total liability is what you paid us in the last twelve months. That’s the one paragraph a lawyer insisted on.

Projects: 50% to start, 50% on handover. Core: monthly or yearly, in advance, by card or EFT. Invoices are due in 14 days. If one is late we’ll remind you twice, then pause the work or the service. We don’t charge interest for the first 30 days.

Cancel Core in one click from your account; it stays on until the end of what you paid for, and you can export everything first. Cancel a project any time; you pay for work done to date and get everything made so far. Details on the cancelling page.

Don’t use Core to do anything illegal or to hurt people. Don’t resell it. Don’t attack it. If you do, we can close the account, after telling you why, with your data exported.

South African law. If we disagree, we talk first: a call within a week. If that fails, mediation in Johannesburg before any court. We’ve never needed it.
